EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar coursework preferred.
OSHA 10-hour safety training
Minimum 3 years of experience construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, and/or consulting geotechnical work
CENTRAL PLANT MANAGER required by our Client, to be assigned on a permanent basis, located in Pittsburgh, PA.

PRINCIPLE REQUIREMNETS
Overall coordination and KPI reporting for the NCC fleet
Asset purchasing
Asset disposal
Inventory management
Work with the Regional Plants to ensure the fleet is sized and positioned correctly to fit the needs of the business.
Ensure that the Regional Plants and Central Plant follow all processes and procedures as set out by the president to maintain and repair our equipment safely and efficiently.
Establish the personnel, infrastructure, equipment, and tools necessary to ensure proper functioning of the Central Plant.
Ensure that all major equipment assets are compliant with the latest OSHA regulations and coordinate training for the operations and regional plant personnel on new equipment.
Responsible for the management of the Electrical and Instrumentation staff that provide support across the business.
Lead the digital transformation of our plant operations and enhance our tracking, and record keeping for the costs and performance of all fleet equipment.
Manage the national agreements NCC has with rental companies, suppliers and equipment dealers.
Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers and build a portfolio of contacts in the industry
Prepare and manage the annual budgets for all the regional shops.
Manage the purchases of all parts and consumables required for the repair and maintenance of the client fleet.
Establish and conserve the fleet: extend equipment life to its optimum. Maximize utilization and benefits for the company, be listening to the latest innovations and equipment coming in the business.
Identify assets for disposal, make recommendations to the President, and manage the disposal process to keep the fleet current and up to date.
Oversee Central Plant mechanical, welding, electrical, instrumentation, inventory, and yard operations.
Ensure clear and open communication with each Region Plant regarding upcoming work
Assist the Regional Plants with planning and ensuring that the right equipment is ready for the right date.
Prevent failures: Complete audits of the Regional Plants and large job sites to ensure they are completing and documenting all repairs and maintenance on our equipment to the standards and quality we have established.
Improve and measure equipment performance (repairs quality, downtimes in production).
Assist with training of operational staff on the proper operation and maintenance of our fleet.
Coordinate the location and delivery of 3rd party rental equipment not available from our fleet.
Lead NCC safety in the Central Plant.
Compliance with OSHA processes for safety relative to equipment for NCC.
Compliance with OEM recommendations.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a High School diploma along with at least 5 years working in Foundation sector with cranes, drill rigs, and hydro fraise/cutters
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and fleet management software with the ability to learn new computer programs. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
Fluent in English. Ability to speak and understand French would be an asset.
Ability to read and understand financial reports and budgets.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Rational decision-making ability.
Attention to detail.

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED along with 5 years of geotechnical construction experience, including time spent as operator, labor foreman, or field/project engineer
OSHA 30-hour Training Certification
Should have previous experience with various geotechnical techniques, including diaphragm walls, slurry wall cutoffs and secant piling
Proven ability to run a work crew.
Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment.
