PRINCIPLE REQUIREMNETS
Promote our services in terms of innovation & industrial solutions.
Develop and implement regional strategies to increase our revenues, profit margin & Group's market share in Marine Renewable Energies (wind, tidal, wave, geothermal), and decommissioning segments.
Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of key markets including supply / demand dynamics and their trends, competitors and customers positioning, typical contract arrangements to contribute to the Business Plan drafting at Business Unit Level.
Present our Group's capabilities and specific proposals to clients and government agencies.
Identify & engage best clients / upcoming targets while populating our Customer Relationship Management system and ensuring accurate reporting to the senior management.
Before any call for tender and for each project, analyze scope of work and technical specifications, potential competitors, and Group's competitive advantage. Recommend a "Bid / No Bid" decision, and if the decision is to bid, develop and present a commercial strategy including a project execution plan that meets the customer's expectations & any local content requirement and is the most competitive in terms of costs. Negotiate industrial partnerships (consortium, JV, key subcontractor, etc.) and mobilize internal technical resources.
During the bidding phase and for each project, ensure that the commercial strategy is followed up, stay in touch with customers to ensure their satisfaction, participate in the review of costs, risks, and contractual terms, propose the profit margin, facilitate internal approvals, follow-up any request for clarification and lead customer’s negotiations in collaboration with the proposal team until contract acquisition or loss.
After any call for tender and for each project, analyze parameters that led to contract acquisition or loss, identify the commercial actions to be improved and present them to Business Unit manager and relevant Heads of departments.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Education: You hold an engineering degree or equivalent, and ideally a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Professional experience: You have, at least, 10 years of experience in commercial and business development and ideally in tendering management, mainly in marine works. You are familiar with processes such as Tendering, Contract Management, Negotiation, and Risk Management.
You have proven your ability to set up strategic partnerships for consortia, joint-ventures, key subcontractor agreements, etc.
A significant experience in project execution is an added value.
A significant experience in the USA, of at least 3 years, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Americas market including its trends and challenges is mandatory.
A track record in or a strong motivation for marine renewable energies and the energy transition would differentiate you from other candidates.
An HSE engineer is required to work with a leading renewables client on a fixed-term contract in Berlin.
The nature of this job function is Quality Engineering Technology driven which comprises product safety, environment, quality & engineering safety, this as well includes the planning, setting up and reviewing of processes relevant for the manufacturing, shipping, installation and completion of an offshore wind-farm. The HSE Engineer will report primarily to the Health & Safety Manager
Role and Responsibilities
To develop and apply a sound understanding of European harmonized standards to assure machine and plant safety and environment
Oversee all equipment to be placed within the windfarm, its documentation is complete and in compliance with statutory and national legislation
Drive engineering safety and relevant processes based on quality assurance approach by applying methodologies as such hazard analysis, risk assessment under European harmonized standards; fault tree analysis and product FMEA
Develop the safety, rescue and evacuation concept for the different assets in the park against general windfarm set up
Verify fire protection concepts, and if in doubt, seek consult from fire protection expert or German authorities, respectively State Department for Safety & Health
Comment and review installation and commissioning procedures with a focus on machine and plant safety
Review processes and end product and make safety-oriented suggestions so that the windfarm components are safety accepted before shipped and personnel are not exposed to hazards
Conduct product audits (critical quality gate) at manufacturing sites (before load out), after installation, pre-commissioning and take over
Set up an ‘audit program’ so that the contractor and its contractors are audited, selected, and qualified against industry best practice
Provide HSE management support to the project site through regular meetings, walk-downs and reporting through the site team
Review wind park related designs, related documents and concepts for environmental aspects (including spill management, spill response, chemical use) to promote best practice.
Conclude and document (hazard analysis) the correct use of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn on wind park sites.
Assess, comment and document that either free issued equipment or machinery added to the plant does not provide hazards
Skills/ Experience
Basic understanding of substation plant, wind turbines and offshore foundations. If this is not existent, the job holder must come from a strong engineering background being able to understand production systems, AutoCAD software and the use in producing relevant machinery and plant documentation
Advanced (mechanical/electrical) knowledge of (engineering) safety methodologies relevant for the works
Able to read and comprehend technical/ technology aspects such as systems, drawings, machinery, and work equipment
Understanding of Offshore EPC, alternatively has worked as a project engineer in an engineering project context
Understanding of offshore logistics and construction would be beneficial but not essential
Work and understand Microsoft Office Package (complete) on advanced level
Fluency in German or English
Must be able to understand the logics of database systems
Knowledge and capable of developing an understanding for procedural documentation
Must have a good understanding or desire for European and harmonized Health & Safety (legislative) and Environmental requirements
ISO 45001, ISO14001 and 9001 knowledge would be beneficial
SCADA Engineer required by our Client, to be assigned on a permanent basis, located in the California area

POSITION SCOPE
Manage the design, implementation, and operations of energy control system projects. Responsible for the development of conceptual control solution designs for low and medium voltage generation and distribution systems, preparation of technical specifications, coordination of detail design with contractors and design consultants, review of detail design documents, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and applicable design criteria. Serve as field engineer to implement solutions and provide post-installation support to clients.
PRINCIPLE REQUIREMENTS
Resolve electrical and or control system design, installation, and interface issues that arise at the project site during construction, and assist in the proposal, startup and commissioning of the projects.
Perform quality assurance reviews and inspection of electrical designs, equipment and installations to ensure compliance with applicable acceptance criteria, codes, and standards.
Responsibilities include travel to manufacturing facilities to inspect assembly of electrical equipment and attend factory testing. Also includes travel to project job sites to oversee installation of electrical materials, equipment, and systems.
Coordinate electrical design development with equipment suppliers, construction contractors, and consultants.
Responsibilities include reviewing electrical design documents and technical specifications and providing responses to same.
Develop technical specifications for procurement of electrical equipment and installation services. Prepare technical and commercial bid evaluations for proposals received.
Prepare construction plans, schedules, and procedures for electrical installations.
Develop conceptual designs and provide cost input for electrical generation and distribution systems to support the development of projects and commercial proposals for sale of electrical generation.
Performs other project proposal and development activities.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electric Power System Engineering
5 years of experience in Electric Power System Engineering.
Position can be based anywhere in US, requiring up to 25% of time for travel
Knowledge of IEEE Standards and National Electrical Code required
Knowledge of utility electric transmission and distribution system design and operations
Must be team orientated and be able to work effectively in diverse work groups
Must possess the ability to effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication
Must clearly and concisely communicate technical and non-technical information and concepts with customers and various levels of management in both formal and informal settings.
Knowledge of programming languages
