Construction Manager
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – AUGER CAST PILES required by our Client, an construction company, to be hired on a full-time basis, located in Kalamazoo, MI

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ensures all company and OSHA safety regulation are met and always enforced.
- Responsible for bottom line auger cast pile profit goals as set by the company business plan.
- Align project managers on all aspects of a project in accordance with the company Project Management Manual.
- Oversee and approve auger cast pile project submittals, including but not limited to, designs, work plans, material ordering, pre-job planning, sequence, and scheduling.
- Implement and enforce all company Policies and Procedures.
- Provide strategic guidance to Project Managers for planning of jobs, submittal of claims and coordination of support from Risk Management.
- Provides consistent leadership for the most difficult situations including risky, large, and complex projects
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in auger cast pile installation
- Must have demonstrated management experience (5+ years) within the geotechnical / heavy construction industry
- Complex project supervision including multiple contractors, techniques and crews.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering and construction; will also consider 10 years of experience in auger cast pile installation
- OSHA 10-hour training course
- First Aid/CPR
- Master skill level with client interaction, risk analysis, written and oral presentation and design management.
- Observe areas of improvement and communicate effectively utilizing appropriate communication methods.
- Develop plans and takes ownership of ideas to make a better work environment.
- Train employees on subjects across multiple disciplines and techniques.
- Speak at project specific meetings on behalf of the company.
- Proactively manage projects and mitigate challenges.
- Communicate changes and provide solutions to Management.
- Evaluate operations during production to improve safety and maximize efficiency.
- Identify and resolve conflict.
- Assess safety and risk.
